Joey started training BJJ in 2018 in Hohenfels, Germany under the Children’s Youth Services program. He moved back to the US and began training at Behring BJJ NY in 2022. Joey received his purple belt in 2021 from Professor Jeremy Workman. He started coaching kid BJJ shortly after starting BJJ, totaling 5 years of coaching experience with children of all ages. Joey is currently serving in the U.S. Army, going on 21 years, and is certified in Modern Army Combatives Level 1 & 2.
