Professor Grace Nowak has been involved in martial arts since the age of four, building a lifelong foundation in discipline and athletic development. However, it wasn’t until she began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 18 years old in 2008 at the NNY Judo Club in Watertown, NY that she discovered her true passion for the art.

Just six months into her training, Grace began competing in Jiu-Jitsu, and within a year she stepped into mixed martial arts competition, demonstrating both dedication and fearlessness early in her journey.

In 2010, she relocated to Cape Cod where she continued her development under Seth Silva, expanding her technical skill and competitive experience. She returned to upstate New York in 2015 and began training under Curtis Mosely and Jamie Frier at Behring NY, further refining her grappling and striking foundation.

Coach Grace continues to actively train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Boxing, constantly sharpening her skills while helping her teammates grow. Her experience as both a competitor and longtime martial artist allows her to bring technical insight, resilience, and encouragement to every class she teaches.

She is committed to fostering confidence, technical excellence, and a strong team culture on and off the mats.
